[Shotimes] RockAuto Shipping is Ridiculous!

Personally if I were to need cables I would just buy bulk cable and make my
own. www.delcity.net is a good place to find things.

I just ordered a voltage regulator from Rock Auto. For the $7.00 shipping it
is worth it at $3 a gallon for gas. Wonder when this is going up too. FPN is
$8 per shipment too. Not bad and you don't have to deal with the dealer.

I agree completely, Noah. However, I think Paul is also correct (see
below).
After learning that I need to enter my zip code in the appropriate cell in
the "shopping basket", I now see how the total shipping rate changes as you
add each entry. The shipping cost of the three battery cables is only
about
$7, so the remaining $18 was presumably apportioned across the other parts
(plugs, distributor cap and rotor, an air filter etc) according to the
vendor. Somewhere in the RockAuto info it even says to minimize the number
of vendors selected to minimize the shipping cost, or something along those
  lines.

I did successfully cancel my order and am a little wiser now. But I still
want those new OEM-fit battery cables, so I may have to order them
separately and buy the rest of the stuff locally. Pretty weird.
