I have noticed as of late that my MTX has been misfireing when i go to WOT in second below 3k. As soon as it hits around 3,000 or better, the car bucks two or three times and pulls like its boosted. I checked the front 3 plug wells and found nothign but a lil bit of dust in them. I am thinking that the car needs a new set of spark plugs and maybe wires as well. The engine is from a 90 or 91 SHO and i dont think it has had a 60k done to it in a while. It is still smoking on start up (blue smoke) and it tends to run a little rich (noticebale black smoke) in the upper RPM range due to bad O2s. I lack the money and time to do a complete 60k at this time so do you think a quick swap of some plugs and wires might help a bit or am I wasting my time and money?

Thanks for the advice,
