I subscribe to AutoWeek, Hot Rod, and Motor Trend. I think it's time for a
some changes.

I'll keep Hot Rod. I'm not really into drag racing or their depth of
restoration, but it's always interesting and they sure feature some awesome
cars. (They did the nicest spread on the Holden Efijy.) Motor Trend is
over for me. Just so far away from my interests. AutoWeek has been getting
on my nerves. Yeah, I like the weekly format and I'd miss it, but they seem
to be thinning the content, especially the writing.

So I'm up for something new. Most of all, I'd like more substance:
Columnists writing about things that really matter, and writing with some
style and grace (ala Nigel Roebuck). I'm tired of reading snobby idiots
choosing one car over another ignoring price, when neither the writer nor I
can contemplate that sort of money anyway. Really, what I'd like in a car
mag is more of what I've prized about this list: People with at least some
maturity talking pragmatically about driving, maintaining, and modifying
real cars that are within my reach.

Anyone have suggestions for auto mags I might try? I'm sincere with this
question and also hoping that this will spark good discussion on the list.
Thanks.
