I have an AAP starter that has been in there for a year now. After a brief scare from sticking on a dead spot when brand new, it has been flawless now for a year. It has some kind of warrentee, but I can't remember. AAP is good on warrantees, at least for me. They punch in your tel # and it tells them exactly when you purchased it.
