Yes.  No offense George, but the fusible links in the Gen1 cars are
something I'd expect to see on a 70's tractor.  The fuse box with real
fuses is the way to go

I would rather have my fuses in one location instead
of trying to track them down all over the engine bay. Personally, this
is one of the reasons I'd prefer to have a Gen2 over a Gen1.
