LOL!!  No offense taken.  It's just what I am used to....'simple' wiring.  Also, a lot has to do with the fact that I haven't had any trouble with my cars.  If they had been troublesome, I'm sure I'd have a different opinion.  Remember, I have said in the past that I only know about what I have had to fix...if the system has been trouble-free, I don't know a thing about it except for what I read, or know from basic logic.  Examples are antilock brakes, fuel pumps, and p/s systems....they just work and work, and the dealer changes the fuel pumps for me.  Now ask me about the PFE sensor....that, I know about.

I did jump the Tbird once the wrong way (after double checking that I had the cables oriented correctly!), positive jumper to neg battery terminal, and blew the link to the alternator.  I never fixed it, because I couldn't find it.  A fuse would have been a lot easier to find and change, I definitely agree.
