Yep, I remember that one. Same deal as this Camaro.

FWIW, my buddy with the '68 Z28 has been toying with the idea of returning
it back to numbers-correct stock. FWIW, there was a '68 Z28 engine within
five engine VIN #s of his on Ebay recently. But, there are folks out there
who can grind down the engine VIN # and restamp it with the "correct"
number.

It confirms my observation that there are more number-correct Chrysler Hemis
(and now Z28s) at the Woodward Dream Cruise than the factory ever built!!

In the latest Hot Rod there's a little blurb about a guy who found his
Corvette something like 20 years after it was stolen.  I think it was a '68
convertible.  I don't remember the details, but that would straighten your
curls too.
