[Shotimes] Competition Limited headlight harness compatibility issue with DRL's

I just installed a Competition Limited headlight wiring harness kit in my '95 with Daytime Running Lights.  When the headlights are off one of the relays buzzes.  It stops buzzing when I turn the headlights on.  Additionally, when the headlight switch is off the DRL's shine at full high-beam intensity instead of reduced intensity.  Does anyone have any insight into this problem and a possible solution?  I've e-mailed Competition Limited as well but want to see if anyone else has run into this problem and has a solution.  

Another issue with this harness is that the "lamp out" light is lit.  I've seen this problem mentioned with other lighting mods.  Anyone know how to make the light go out, aside from taping over it or removing it?
