Throwing everything else out, the things flat haul.  I was amazed at watkins glen with a 3000 lb SHO top speed on the backstraight is like 135ish with a good run out of the esses?  Watch the Cup guys there and the in car telemetry and those 3400 lb bricks are doing 180+ there.  Nuts when you figure how heavy they are.

The formula and rules are old school, but given the parts they are allowed to use, it's high tech.  Did a video shoot at Joe Gibbs Racing back in late '04 and JD Gibbs took us around on a tour.  The engine shop (and everything else) is state of the art.  Millions of $$'s of equipment and pieces/parts.  You could eat off the floor there to.
