If you have a walkman, you can copy the songs to your computer, you'll have to go to radio shack and get a cord with 1/8th" male stereo headphone jack on each end. Plug on end into the walkman and the other into the line in connection on your sound card. You then play the tapes on the walkman and record it to your computer.
You'll need a decent amount of free space on your harddrive to store the raw audio, and you'll need a program to convert the recorded audio to cd audio, unless you record it that way to begin with. You can do a google search that will likely provide a program you can use.

Subject: [Shotimes] OT copying cassettes to CDs
I have some cassette tapes that I would like to put on CDs. They are
collections, mostly of stuff that I had on vinyl, 45's and such.
Is there some way to get the recordings into my computer so I can burn them
to a CD? I don't have a real trick audio card. Do you
have to have a card with RCA inputs in order to do this kind of thing? I'm
cheap. I don't want to have to spend a whole bunch of
money just to do it.
