I originally replaced my stock exhaust with the Dynomax Cat Back on my 89. The sound was better then stock in my opinion.
However, I'm not that impressed with the life span of the Dynomax mufflers. I seem to be replacing them more frequently than I think I should. The car gets driven about 20-25 mins. two ways each day and then mainly around town driving occassionally, so that may have an impact.
Good news is......they are covered under a life time warranty.......bad news is, the shop I deal with doesn't stock them, and only places orders for them each Saturday (when someone like me needs them!), so I have to wait. Right now I'm driving around with one muffler, so she's pretty loud. :-)

I was concerned about noise and it's really not loud at all. People will
notice the sound though. It sounds better, but it's not a V8. The quality
of the Dynomax setup I have is not good. I just had a weld fail at the
muffler.
