I'll second not getting the V6. A local dealer that I know got in an LS
V6 with the manual transmission. These are more scarce than a blue 95
SHO MTX!
I thought that the v6 with the manual might be a fun car, and took it
for a drive. Have to admit that the tranny and clutch were the easiest
to drive immediately smooth of any car I have driven. But when it came
time to get on the gas, the engine was asleep. Even above 4000 or so
rpm when it "comes on the cam" it was lazy feeling. I hadn't been in
something that slow since driving my Chevette many many years ago.
Also, the LS is tighter inside than the SHO, so if room is necessary,
you may not like it.
I was a fan of the LS at the first, but now when I see them on the road,
especially from the back, they look very dated.
