I think it's a good idea! I replaced both headlights several years ago. I
totally sealed every seam and drain hole I could find. I also run the
illegal 100W/80W bulbs. I was told that the heat would melt the plastic
headlamp. I have no water or condensation, the plastic has not turned yellow
and I have not melted anything. The car has run as long as 12 hours non-stop
with the headlights on.
