Well then...the A/C clutch is engaging hard, I would guess.  That is about the only
other thing that could cause your symptom.  Sometimes I can feel the clutch engage
on my '91 wagon, especially when going slow.  It doesn't do it all the time (A/C is
on all the time for cooling fan operation).  It's a new compressor...R134
conversion, so it is under warranty.
