Robert,
Welcome back, but fair warning: Most of us have moved over to the V6SHO
Yahoo Group (http://autos.groups.yahoo.com/group/v6sho/). You probably
won't get much more response on this list.
As far as your question, I've never heard of a 3.2 with 3.0 cams from
the factory, but it is a very well-known mod to swap the KOA cams into
the 3.2s. The KOA cam profile is geared for more power (that apparently
the 3.2 didn't need on account of its greater displacement).
My guess is that a previous owner did this swap and it got forgotten
somewhere along the way.
Regards,
Jon Heese
P.S. If you don't already have a Yahoo ID, you can join the V6SHO list,
by sending a blank email to v6sho-subscribe at yahoogroups.com.

I got an estimate for the repairs he was wanting done and after getting the parts in, I tore into it this morning. I was looking at the intake and the cams and it had KOA on them. The car is stock from what I can tell and is real clean with low mileage. The rear valve cover had a KOB sticker which from what I know, represents a 3.2. The cams and intake had KOA cast on them, which represents a 3.0. Is it common for a 3.2 to have 3.0 parts on them like this one has? Thanks guys for helping me with this.
