Whew, no traffic for almost a year ... yet I guess Mark  isn't pruning this
one.  Must be really low traffic on the ones he is  pruning !

I'm definitely a newbie at single-malt ... in fact I didn't  drink at all for
many years at the request of my late wife.  But I'm  back to having a sip of
Ballantine's on occasion, and wouldn't mind  discovering something better ...
after looking through the archives, I'll  definitely be looking for some
Bowmore Legend.  Tried a bottle of  Glenmorangie port finish (at the
suggestion of a friend), but can't see it  being worth the price ($60).

Yes, the list is slow.  I  really like the Aberlour (sp) products such as the 
10 year old and the Abunah  (sp) which is cast strength (not cut by water).  
It has a "fruity" taste  along with the smoke.
