[Spits] Electric Fan Power

Seems to me that one could accomplish this by using a relay that has a
built-in delay circuit. This way, it will continue to provide a path for
current flow for a predetermined time after the ignition is shut off.

Has anyone tried to re-wire the
circuit so that the fan can continue to operate even after the car is shut
down?
My 76 TR7 VE fixed head coupe does exactly that. The fans will run for a
couple of minutes after turning off the ignition on a hot day. I thought
this
was by design but I don't know for sure? I don't believe my TR8 ever did
this?
I have not rewired either. It is rather annoying for the fans are fairly
loud.
