[Spridgets] modern radio insatllation

I know some of you may complain about this, but i want some tunes with my engine noise.  There is only 5 3/4 inches depth in the center console and most modern radio are 6" (6 1/2" with wiring) how did you install yours? and or what model radio did you use. Oh and I will soon have a working 1974 original AM radio for sale.
