[Spridgets] what's the story on Moss' "repro Mini-Lite alloy wheels"?

I put 78 or 80 series on my 6" VW "White"
spoked wheels. And they were nothing special. I think Sears Radials if I remember correctly, 185x15's.

The car handled like it was on rails...... seriously.

Seems the more tire "under" rather than "outside" the rim, the better the car handled and held in the turns at highway
speeds.

Of course, like anything else, I'm sure it can be overdone, but this thing stuck like glue in the dry and wasn't bad in the rain, either.

Just a couple of reasons I can think of:
They fit
They are the right size
They never rub even when you pretend to be Mr. Racer
They can be bought in any tire store
They cost less than 1/2 the fake racer cool tires that are special order
(have you ever tried to buy a 160XRZ20X13 in Boise, Idaho.)

I would never put something as narrow as a 155 on a 5" wheel. They are
made for a 4" wheel. If you want to stay with 155's (why?? I have no
idea!!) then go with no more than a 4.5" wheel, and that is a bit wide.
