I finally caught the Pawn Star episode with the Sprite on my Tivo.

The mechanic said that the Sprite had spun it's bearings.  How would he be
able to know that without taking the engine apart, or maybe he pulled the
pan?

What noises would you typically hear when the bearings spin?

I wish one of you guys could have talked to the Pawn Shop owner dude
regarding the quote of $6,000 to rebuild that engine.

I know it would be a lot less.  . but about how much to have it rebuilt,
like for example by someone on our list. . ?

Last engine (and only engine) I have ever rebuilt was a small block 327
Chevy for a 1967 Camaro.
