[Spridgets] Fuel pump question --- NOT LBC!!

Just came back from my boys house.. 
he asked me for help on his Ford Probe (Sorry!),,, no fuel getting up 
front and the fuel light is ON... he has (had) gas in the tank...
We 'think' we hear the fuel relay click when you turn the key.

He dropped the tank and removed the pump to bench test.
The pump runs when 12V is applied to the terminals BUT (here's the 
question), should there be enough pressure or vacuum at the pump so 
that I could feel it with my fingers??
I feel no pressure even tho' the pump is running..
