FWIW,

I have run a Group 51 in my 1500 Higher Compression with cam engine for years with nary a problem. You should be good.

I looked at the 51 size and I need to know the recommended cca cold cranking amps the group suggests for my 1275 engine. I haven't decided if I should spent $150 on Optima or Interstate or go cheap and small and just replace more often as I barely use my LBC. Any suggestions?

I'' set the new battery on a large plank of wood across the hood just to test it out as I have to remove the hood to remove the battery and I just want answers now.
