[Tigers] removing side window

I hope this doesn't sound too obvious, but did you drill out the rivets at
the corners...? Mine came apart quite easily actually...

I made new 1/4" plexi replacements for mine last year...too wide to reuse
the rubber...almost snug in the metal channel but I added a dab of silicone
so they wouldn't rattle... I thought the extra thickness might help the
crazing problem around the latch hole. I actually made 5 sets...why? just
because I had a pattern to do so... still have 4 sets.

Subject: [Tigers] removing side window

Does any body have a clever way to separate the side window glass from the
bottom metal retaining channel and "U" shaped rubber glazing seal after they
have been removed from the door? I need to keep the glass intact for a
pattern
for a new one and despite soaking in lubricant and tapping with wood block
as
hard as I dare, I can't separate the channel and rubber assembly from the
glass. Not surprising after 40 years but I sure would like to retrieve the
glass.
