I say take the Joe Petroni approch (he was the guy in the movie "Airport" 
who got the plane off the runway - just in time).

Checklist:
1. Does fuel spit out of the float bowls at idle ? No - pressure is not too 
high.

2. Can you blast up the Conejo Grade without the bowls running dry? Yes - 
pressure is not to low.

(Cockpit Assistant) That's not in the manual!" (Joe Petroni) "That's the 
good thing about a 707. It can't read the manual"  :-)
