[Tigers] Alloy Wheel Truing

I have 2 alloy wheels, a LAT and a modern BMW, which tire machines have reported in the past as being out of true. Neither has any cracks, gouges in the flanges etc that require mechanical repair.


I'm aware of a business in a nearby town which advertises alloy wheel straightening. I just wondered whether anyone here has any firsthand experience with a service like this - specifically how good was the final adjustment, how much danger of damage or destruction does the straightening process involve and are there any special risks working with a 50 year old LAT vs modern wheels?
