Before the Wilwood rear brake kits were available, I put together rear disc,
wilwood calipers, and wilwood parking brake, with custom make brackets.
Parking brake is on left side only, and they have a better design parking
brake available now.

have been chatting with a fellow that was working on D44 to late model (2000)
Mustang/Cobra rears with integral parking brake. It seems a good smaller rear
brake caliper although a bit smaller pad then the small dynalite calipers I
would use if I didn't want the parking brake to work.

will work with the same parts on the tiger due to rim size. If you want a
contact I can get you his info as I have been emailing him about them.

all said and done for me to use the D44 it's a flange change. Curries makes a
small bearing ford flange that will work on the D44 tubes, they can make the
axles with ford bearings and D44 late model spline count for my new diff. And
as and added bonus I can still use Dan Walters system if I stick with the
D44.

>>> I have the preliminary design work done for a Wilwood rear disk system for
a OEM style Dana 44. Wilwood has basically refused to create this kit. My
version will be using a Ford 9" small axle kit as the starting point. The
plan is to machine a slot in the plate that mounts the parking brake hardware
and allow it to fit over the axle flange so that it mounts on the inside of
the flange. This will give enough room for this hardware and the disc will
fit on the hub. Doug Jenning's machinist has made blank round rear hubs. I
suspect that they are still available. This allows you to put whatever
pattern on the hubs that you want, including the Ford 5 bolt.

schedule. I'm still trying to get my electronic power steering done to demo
there. Not enough time in retirement.
