[Tigers] Crash Test Tigers

Tiger Tales May-June issue has Crash Test Tigers by Graham Vickery.

 

There are some interesting details in the engine bay picture other than the
extra brake line plumbing and something behind the generator.

 

1                     there is a decal on the expansion tank - anyone have a
clear picture of that decal?

2                     C4DF-S carb

3                     C4OF-A distributor with oil port

4                     The water line connection for the carb spacer looks
like a Mk II part not the Mk I part but it is difficult to discern

5                     The heater valve is the later type which according to
the Parts List started with B382000001

 

I believe all the F21KA engines have the Z5TF-C distributor so this engine
is not in the F21KA or B19KC engine groups.

 

This seems to indicate the engine is in the S27KA group, a B382 Tiger with
light color paint.

 

I don't know if that helps narrow down which Tiger got the privilege of
being crash tested but maybe.
