Looks like it was welded up before but I don't remember having it done, and I've owned the car since 1970. Do you think this is salvageable? If it were me I would go hunting for another block. Going through a threaded bolt hole I wouldn't risk it. I guess crap is the right sentiment Sorry TeriAnn
