No, Liverpool Motorworks is Jerry Labant. Yes he's a very interesting fellow
who sometimes has very good deals on strange and rare items. More than
occasionally they are fairly pricey. Jerry lives in Pennsylvania while Rob
lives in Michigan. He manufactures his tools which you can buy individually
or as a complete set for a particular MG model. He does have some used stuff
but he is more casual about how he sells things and you don't usually get
the big story with each piece. I've purchased several tools from him and
they seem to be well made and work when I've asked them to. As Allen likes
to say, I don't have any connection to this person or any financial

originally made by Churchill in England.

WANTED!!!!! British Tool is looking for any quantity of old, used and
obsolete tools for British Sports cars. If you happen to have any Churchill
tools laying around, I'm interested. Also, many customers would like to have
those tool kit tools you have as duplicate or don't know exactly what they
belong to so let me know! DESIGN AND ENGINEERING SERVICES:

BRITISH TOOL has complete design and production facilities available, and

Rob Nortier of Liverpool Motor Works! Very interesting chap with some really
interesting and unique bits of unobtanium... I got my tyre pump rebuilt and
the hose replaced by Rob and when he returned them he also sent some
Purolator oil filter dash hanger cards just for grins....

I also bought some vintage tyre repair kits and tools from him - very nice
stuff at fair prices

classes in auto body, painting, upholstery, all kinds of welding, CAD, NC
programming and machining.  The cost is reasonable and geezers (60+) get a

Steve T: I have another idea for a project - a serpentine crankshaft pulley
for a five-main MGB engine, along with a matching pulley for the water pump,
would be on the top of my wishlist. Preferably, make the crankshaft pulley
in the form of a harmonic balancer, but beggars cannot be choosers...

Steve K, you will need that octagonal socket when you get to working on your
Magnette rear axle.  Unlike you, I totally forgot I already had one of these
and was looking for a hex wrench to do the trick. ' Bet I spent over a week
looking for one before I realized even the right size wouldn't fit, AND that
I already HAD ONE!!  

If I get any more ideas, I'll share them!

talking about.  Never used it.  If he could use it for guidance, I'd be glad

My son is in college in a two year program to become a machinist.  It 
seems that he needs some proposals for projects he can do there.  As 
the one paying the tuition, I get to suggest something that would be 
of use to me and my MGs.  One thought I had was to make a nice socket 
for the octagon shaped rear axle nut.  Does anyone else have any 
ideas for any cool stuff I could suggest?  There's no guarantee that 
he will do it, as the project would have to fit in with the goals of 
the course work.  So, what would you guys do if you had a machinist 
at your disposal?  Note that this is not an automotive machinist 
program, so they are not set up for operations on engine blocks, 
crankshafts, etc.
