guess I misread the question.  I thought his float bowl was leaking.  My 
bad.  Sorry.

Steve K,

An SU carb can have a stud or a bolt holding the bowl to the
body.  Based on Roger's comments, it seems he has the bolt.  These
have just two rubber seals, one on top and one on the bottom of the
bowl arm.  If you have the stud version, then there is a sandwich of
three washers on the bottom.  Is this what you are referring to?  I
don't know what other thin gaskets you mean.
