Hey Michael,
Having CALLED Lou, you have just elevated yourself to the highest ranks of ZMG.  Lou regards us all as her children.  She and her husband John are the only exclusive Magnette parts source in the world. Since you have now called her once, I'm willing to bet she'll always recognize you by first name. I remember the second time I called her I was prepared to say "Hello Lou, this is Allen Bachelder calling from Michigan, USA" I never got past "Hello Lou, this is Allen..." before she interrupted my spiel with, "Oh hello Allen, and how is Florrie?" (Florrie being my wife who Lou has met once in her life at GT 35.)  Lou is perhaps 87 or even 88 and doing remarkably well for her age but we live in fear that she won't always be with us. Steve K and I visited their shop/home last summer and while it's really difficult to rate that experience in comparison to everything else we crammed into that frightfully short ten days,  I can only say that I'm incredibly glad we did it.  Such fun! Such good people!

I didn't know there was anyone left on the list who hasn't had the pleasure.  Here's their site:  www.mgspecs.co.uk.  Contact info is under "contact us" tab.  Lou has trouble seeing, so anything written should use a large font and clear, block capitals, as requested on the home page.  You really should call on the phone.  Lou can be a little hard to understand, but talking with her is a trip and one of the things all Magnette owners should experience.  Steve H. worked out a way to get payments to the Shortens.  Hopefully that is still available.  I imagine he will respond with that info.
