[Zmagnette] Wire Wheels

The easiest thing to do would be to use the MGA front wire wheel hubs (a good time to convert to disc brakes!) and use the Triumph TR3/4 rear hub extensions (661-410 & 661-420) bolted directly to the Magnette rear axle these will also require thin nuts (675-070) and some minor fettling of the stud length. This will enable the fitment of MGA wire wheels in 15". I would recommend that you check out Dayton 72 spoke wires in 15" x 5.5" or 15" x 6" because they are available with sealed spokes that allow tubeless running, and, the 15" x 6" will allow a 195/60R-15 tire or a 195/70R-15 tire - both of which will readily fit under the Magnette sheet metal and offer the advantage of being readily available tire sizes (think: Costco).
The TR hub extensions are $65 each, which compares favorably (cost wise) with any of the alternative solutions. The MGA Axle would need to be revised to wear the Magnette brake backing plates which accommodate the Magnette's different parking brake arrangement along with removing and relocating the spring perches.
Magnuts are NEVER a PITA... though cleaning wire wheels ALWAYS is... (IMNSHO)

What I would like to do is use Wire Wheel front hubs and use a Wire Wheel rear axle of some type, I need to check out the Track on rear ends cause I'm afraid if I have the Wire wheel hubs put on the existing axle shafts in the stock Magnette rear end, the Track will be off from the front and will look funny. I have an MGA WW rear end sitting here that I could use by relocating the spring pads. Does anyone know if this will work or perhaps an Early MGB rear end?
