John, You helped me by confirming what I thought about the wiring to and from the relay box. My wire connections were correct in the relay but the gap between the points was too wide at the left turn connection. I narrowed that down and now everything is working as it should. Thanks. Rodger

Rodger:
The turn signals share the same filament as the stop lights. If the brake lights are working, then the wiring from the turn signal relay, and the bulb are operational. The click in the signal relay would seem to indicate that the switch and stator wiring are correct. Are you sure of your connections to the signal relay. Here's a diagram of how the terminals on the relay should be connected. If the wires are connected correctly, you may need to remove the cover on the relay to make sure someone has not reversed the cover at some point as was done on my ZA. I also cleaned all of the points in my signal relay with some fine crocus cloth and lightly coated them with anti-ox paste using a Q-tip and have not had any issues in the past 7 years with turn signals.

Rodger, Have you tried a bulb swap? If it clicks it should flash. Sometimes you can get so frustrated you forget the obvious. Arch

This car is going to make me crazier. The stator tube re-working is done, the right turn lights function perfectly. When I turn the lever to the left there is a click at the signal relay but no lights and no flashing. This occurs with both the signal relay original to this car and with the relay original to my other Magnette. The bulbs look intact, the brake and running lights work normally.
Does the click at the relay mean the stator tube wiring and switch in the steering hub are functioning as they should? What do I check next? Rodger
