I agree, but Gorilla glue does foam up a bit on unconstrained joints,
and you CAN use that space to cut it. Good contact cement doesn't do
that - or didn't. Other problem with contact cement if you use it
correctly, is that it IS CONTACT cement, and trying to install carpet
with instant adhesion is problematic.
