I have a series II car that I bought from a guy that had blown the series
I engine he had in it. I swapped a series V engine into it and have
bolted on all the early series accessories except for the distributor (I'm
still trying to figure out how to get that in place because the oil pump
in the series V is too short to take the early series distributors). The
engine swap can be done without raising the car, but picking the front
end up a few inches can be helpful.
Lets hear it for those of us who are restoring these old gems. I have 3
years and $l million of my time into my car. Labor of love I guess.
