I have been reassembling my Series II car and have it nearly completely
restored. I have not been able to locate the door mouldings that but
against the A post/dash. Sunbeam specialties doesn't carry them (at
least not anything resembling the original). Any ideas on where I can
find them or how to make my own mouldings.

***** NOTES from JLAIFMAN (JLAIFMAN (at) PNM) at 8/11/95 9:55a
[This is the revised version of an e-mail I just sent on this subject]
I have also had problems with the mouldings by Sunbeam Specialties for
my Series V. I also got the ones from Victoria British. Neither stay on
very well or bend around the portion that curves down and around the dash
portion. In particular, the moulding keeps popping off at the point where
the windshield meets the dash. I think my original part was actually
three pieces, one on the windshield, one for the curve around the dash and
one for the remainder -- but I'm not sure. I have to find the part and
have not had time. Although, I am certain that the original part closely
resembled the Sunbeam Specialties part, and to my knowledge, my part was
the original part from the factory. I would say, though, that the Sunbeam
Specialties product is superior to the Victoria British part (what else is
new?). I have not tried to glue it down yet because I was waiting to see
what else I might come across, and time to look at the original part to
see if it was in fact multiple parts or not. Anyone know for sure?
