Probably a good move, although I'm not sure what you mean by saying the
"pulley...copy lacks a slot for the hand crank."
Most people rarely have use for a crank anymore except for setting the
valves. And if you need to remove the crank slot-style bolt which holds the
lower pulley, its a hassle trying to get it off, since its a rare Whitworth
1-1/4" size, or about 33millimeters, needing a genuine deep socket. Without
the right tools, you can't be sure if you've really tightened it enough when
putting it back on. Non-slotted style bolts can be found on the Arrow range
1725's.
