Overdrive light

   As I've mentioned before, I have a Series V, and I have a Series V
overdrive to install. I'm trying to find out the correct answer as to
whether or not the Series V with an overdrive installed by the factory
came with a light on the dash that went on if the overdrive was on. I
have heard differing answers, including a difference of opinion as to
whether the light was grey or blue/green. So, does anyone out there
actually have a Series V with an overdrive installed by the factory, which
will have the "OD" in the chassis number?

This also raises another issue. I might have read somewhere that there
were no U.S. Series V's that came with overdrives from the factory, only
U.K. cars. I think it had to do with trying to keep the price down below
the competition's prices. I have yet to here from someone in my travels
who has one. Every time I see one, it turns out that it was installed by
the owner or previous owner. So this answer may have to come from some
of our U.K. writers.

I just heard a rumor that someone out there has a new engine coming
from Holbay in England that was built up to 140 hp. Does anyone know
anything about it? It's supposed to be in a container somewhere.

   That's all for now.
