It's most likely the 0.22mF timing cap. If not that, the germanium
transistors sometime develop a temperature sensitivity. I checked
several Tigers at the British Car meet in Palo Alto today and they were
all off from a little to a lot.

Check out my Tach Tech Tip on the new Web Site. It's got all the
details you need to know.

The web site server just crashed on me a few minutes ago, so it may not
be up again till about 8:00AM tomorrow PDT. I'll let you know.

I've had a similar problem with my tach. Often just as the car is almost
warmed up, the tach will begin to read about 15% over actual, then after
another ten minutes it will suddenly read accurately again. The guage shows
no other obvious problems, like the needle sticking, jerking or wildly waving
etc. What component(s) would change the reading as the car warms up?
