I understand that the Sunbeam Tiger/Alpine tach has an adjustment
inside. It is a little knob with a phillips head for adjustmemt. It can
be reached two ways. First, you can pull out the light bulb holder and
get it with a finger (so I've been told). Or, you can disassemble the
tach, drill a hole to line up with the phillips head and then reassemble
and install it. Personally, I am going to attempt to get it with my
finger first -- that is, after I hook up another tach along side for a
while to get a feel for where it should be. A tach is not linear. So,
you probably have to decide where you want it to be off, i.e., at low rpm
or high rpm.
