I note an article in which the author suggests cleaning up original
chrome by using a small buffing wheel with a polishing compound, "Emery"
to start and then "Rouge" to finish. Emery and Rouge are apparently
different grades made by David Brothers Co. of Utica, New York. He warns
to renew compound often and to avoid overheating. Finally, he suggests
applying a clear plastic spray over the piece. Any other thoughts?
