Dave, Congradulations on your purchase. Welcome to the world of driving
with a smile on your face (even if the wind is blowing dust in your eyes).
I love the sound and feel of driving it.
Sounds like you didn't have to do too much on your Sunbeam considering it
was sitting for 18 years. Did you have any trouble getting it to pass smog
check?
The smell of gasoline I could do without. In fact if anyone has any
suggestions for doing something with the trunk...(boot. to be politically
correct)...to make it smell less of gasoline..I would appreciate
suggestions...I don't like to put groceries in it when I am shopping
because everything catches the smell..
***** NOTES from Jay Laifman (JLAIFMAN (at) PNM) at 9/26/95 1:13p
After I rebuilt my car, which included new rubber throughout for the gas
tank, the smell seems to be gone -- for now at least.
Jay Laifman
