With the recent postings on colors and color codes, I thought the complete
list might be of interest.

ALPINE ORIGINAL BODY COLOURS
(taken from the Sunbeam Alpine Owners' Club 1994 members handbook)
On the chassis plate will also be found a one to three digit number which is
the colour code. The following is a full list of all codes officially used on
Alpines assembled in the U.K. although other codes will be found on cars
assembled abroad from C.K.D. kits.
1 Embassy Black - Known as Jet Black on brochures. Used on all series.
11 Thistle Grey - A pale grey used only on Series I.
19 Moonstone - An extremely light grey, almost white. Used on Series I -
IV.
30 Seacrest Green - A pale Turquoise, familiar to decorators as
Eau-de-Nil. This was Rootes racing livery and only used on Series II and pro
types.
39 Carnival Red - A very striking red with almost a hint of orange. Used
on all series except very late Series V.
40 Glen Green - A smoky mid green used only on Series I.
52 Lake Blue-A mid blue used only on Series II. Wedgwood Blue - The light
blue immortalized on pottery produced by the Wedgwood company. Used on Series
II - IV.
58 Midnight Blue - A very dark and slightly greyish blue used from late
Series IV to early Series V.
61 Quartz Blue Metallic - A pale silvery blue used only on Series III.

67 Light Green Metallic - Exactly as described and used only on Series
III. (See 68.)
68 Autumn Gold Metallic - A toned down gold the theoretically used only
on Series III but also found on at least one late Series II. (Note: this may
also be true of 61 and 67 which are known to have been offered to the
original purchaser at the same time.)
76 Balmoral Grey - A mid grey used only on Series IV and IVa.
86 Forest Green - Rootes name for British Racing Green. Used from late
Series IV, except very late Series V.
92 Arctic White - Pure white but not quite the decorators Brilliant
White. Used on Series IVa and V.
100 Mediterranean Blue - A light blue without the slightly purplish tinge
of Wedgwood Blue. Used on Series IVa & V.
102 Oxford Blue- A pure deep blue. Used only on late Series V.
106 Commodore Blue - A deep blue with just a hint of purple. Used only on
late Series V.
107 Holly Green - A deep pure green, not as smoky as Forest Green. Used
only on very late Series V.
108 Polar White - Off white, slightly creamier than Arctic White and more
reminiscent of the bears than the snows. Used only on late Series V.
109 Orchid Green - A vivid light green. Used only on late Series V.
122 Signal Red - A pure red, slightly darker and less orange than
Carnival Red. Used only on very late Series V.
127 Turquoise Blue Metallic - A dark metallic turquoise. Used only on
late Series V.
130 Gunmetal Metallic - A dark metallic grey. Used only on late Series V.
