Kurt,

After I spent exactly one afternoon on my back removing undercoating from
the bottom of my bugeye, I knew there had to be a better way.

I assembled a framework of plywood and 2x4's around my bugeye's body. My
daughter and I could easily turn the whole thing upside down, put it on
its side, or even prop it up at a 45 degree angle. Once it was in the
desired position, I could remove any part of the framework that interfered
with access. Construction took one 4x4 sheet of 3/4 plywood, a few 2x4s,
and some bolts and framing brackets.

It wasn't elegant, but it was cheap and it worked. It was especially nice
when it came time to get the sandblasting sand out of the body--we just
turned it over and over and over and blew sand out until it was clean.
When I finished with the frame, I gave it to a friend who did another car
with it.

For the Alpine, I may try making a rotisserie. I think it could be done
fairly easily using a couple of cheap engine stands as the basic material.
