Now that's a NUMBER!!! Hoo-boy. I don't show any corresponding letter OR
number combinations in the Sunbeam Alpine Owner's Club guide to Rootes
4-clyinders. If its a Rootes engine, it has to be from some strange
non-North American export or maybe even a marine powerplant.
  
Did you check for any numbers on the block behind the starter indicating date
of manufacture or capacity?

I wouldn't use the engine # for titling it just yet.
