Standard/Non-standard

My understanding, though I can't remember where from, is that the
standard/non-standard distinction referred to differences
required for US import. The only difference I have ever been
able to confirm is the amber (standard)/red (non-standard) rear
flasher distinction. Another posibility is the headlight flash
feature not found on US cars. Any regular US import should be
non-standard, but cars imported from Canada or brought over later
from England should be standard. Has anyone else heard this?

Also, does anyone have a copy of February 1995 Classic and Sports
Cars who would be willing to copy an article for me? I've tried
to buy a back issue, but the issue is sold out. Please e-mail me
if you'd be willing to help out. Thanks in advance.
