I recently had a similar problem. When it was all said and done I ended
up replacing the slave and rebuilding the master. Before you order the
rebuild kits, make sure the cylinders are not too badly pitted. My slave
couldn't be salvaged without extensive work. The master on the otherhand
was in good condition. Both are now working just fine.
