About the keys and barrels.

It's easy to get them to put new barrels in and not that expensive, and if
you ask them to put "keyed alike" barrels in they will and you will only
need one key.

When I got my series II it had new barrels in the doors, no key for the boot
(trunk) and no console so I was using two keys: one for the door and one for
the ignition. One day I accidently used the door key for the ignition and it
of course worked so now I only use one key. (in my experience any key you
can get into the ignition will start the thing.

The key for the boot is the same cross section as the door key so it should
be possible to get that keyed alike also.
