Having just interviewed Kenneth Howes, Roy Axe and Pauline Talou (somebody y
ou probably have not heard of before, but played an important part in the
Alpines design) and will be meeting with them again soon .....
Any questions would be appreciated. The information I think I want, may
differ from yours.

***** NOTES from Jay Laifman (JLAIFMAN (at) PNM) at 1/29/96 10:56a
I don't know if this would be general car information, or Sunbeam
information, but:
1. Why 13" wheels? 14" wheels really seem to fill out cars better.
2. Why 1725 cc? I assume that is a racing category issue that I just
don't know. (although it may be something that was not part of their
considerations - both because it was a change later and because it was
more technical than design).
3. The rake on the original model Alpine windshield (page 21) seems
greater than on the production cars. Was it? Why the change? In fact,
the whole shape of the model seems to flow back more, including the front
wheel arch and the headlight dipping down a little more. (I am glad to
see that the recessed wing was dropped).
