Having just interviewed Kenneth Howes, Roy Axe and Pauline Talou (somebody you
probably have not heard of before, but played an important part in the Alpines
design) and will be meeting with them again soon, along with a planned interview
with Geoff Crompton, who was believed to be dead, but is not, and has never
talked to anybody about his involvement. If anybody can think of any questions
about the design that was not covered in my original book, that they would like
to have answers to, please let me know, and I will ask them.
Any questions would be appreciated. The information I think I want, may differ
from yours.
Anybody out there who has anything to do with organising Suni, could do a lot
worse, than thinking about inviting some of these people. All where involved
with a designing a lot of the Rootes Cars from about 1952 onwards. Roy Axe in
particular stayed to the end, and then became head of Chrysler International
design studios in the US and is probably the best car designer there is today.
(you should see the concept car he has just finished for Bentley, which will be
a special edition car for the millennium, amazing with a capital A) he also
lives in the US 6 months of the year.

Chris McGovern
